Leanne
Leanne’s musical journey began with ballet at the age of three and has continued throughout her life, including formal studies. She joyfully shares her love of singing with her mother, who continues to sing at 83. Leanne is also a member of the show group Beauty Shop Dolls and treasures music for its ability to bring joy, heal hearts, and inspire connection, believing it to be essential for wellness in individuals and communities at every stage of life.
Beth
Beth’s passion for singing was ignited at the age of 10, inspired by the 1982 film Annie. This early love for performance led to many music festivals and touring Europe with The Vancouver Youth Chorale. In the years to follow Beth performed at MusicFest Canada earning an honour award. After raising her two sons, Beth's path has led her back to singing with the passion and emotional depth that comes with life experiences.
Lianne
Lianne began singing as a teenager in Montreal, and also studied piano and clarinet. Since moving to Vancouver, she has enjoyed performing with a community choir and participating in various small vocal ensembles. Outside of music, Lianne is passionate about food allergy research and loves spending time with dogs. Her passion for singing is driven by the bond that brings people together through rhythm, lyrics, and melody.
Katherine
Katherine was born into a musical family in the Maritimes. She enjoyed many years of singing in church and school choirs, and playing piano and flute in school bands.
Her love of music and dedication to helping people led her to become a certified music therapist over 25 years ago. She continues to enjoy performing music with others and is thrilled to be part of the B Sharp Ensemble. Outside of the ensemble, Katherine enjoys hiking, photography, reading, travelling, baking and skiing.
Eileen
Music was a family affair for Eileen, starting in her church choir, with her father as the Director. She studied piano and clarinet, and while at University she refined her vocal skills. Eileen has wonderful memories of playing and singing in a band, her father performing at community dances, weddings, and anniversary celebrations. Throughout her life, she has cherished the power of music to bring people together—an enduring passion that continues to shape her path.
Libby
Libby grew up surrounded by music, studying ukelele, violin, the saxophone and a little piano. Family gatherings turned into boisterous jamborees around the piano, leading to a life-long love of creating music with friends and family. She is grateful for the joy and energy that creating music and harmony with B Sharp offers.
